“We met on a blind date. We bonded over our shared love of cats, food, wine and science. We make each other laugh (a lot) and we get on with each others’ families and friends. After 19 years together, we finally decided it was time to get hitched, one doesn’t like to rush these decisions! Perhaps it was something to do with getting on a bit (!) the COVID-19 crisis and the fact that we could have a Civil Partnership Ceremony instead of a full-blown wedding. Whatever it was, we had the most fantastic time at Insole Court. Our original witnesses (from London) were able to do their readings virtually over Zoom and some very dear friends who live locally stepped in to fill the breach. Our celebration plans for the evening were scuppered due to the lockdown but we still had a lovely evening out to celebrate our union, with lots of joy, love and champagne!”
